Undiestudies update
The www.ebay.com posting by a supposed University first-year student auctioning her used panties for tuition closed last Friday at $31, after a total of 16 bids were placed.
"So many people wrote me such nice letters and bid on my panties," she wrote.
Encouraged by the response, she has placed yet another pair up for auction, according to ebay. This bidding, which lasts until Sunday at 3:15 p.m., was up to $10.47 at press time. She repeats her promise to send a photo to the winning bidder and adds that this particular pair of panties is special.
"These are the ones I was wearing when I found out I got into" U.Va., she wrote.

If you want relief from the heat today, keep an eye out for the blue bear.
Freshens is having a Grand Re-Opening at the Pav today from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. The Smoothie Bear will be giving out banana key chains and t-shirts to celebrate the changes to the Freshens menu. Students also can sample the eight flavors of Freshens hand-dipped ice cream and new smoothies, including Coffee Fudge Ripple and Peanut Butter Banana Supreme. Citrus lovers now can enjoy two new smoothies, Orange Sunrise and Orange Shooter.
"We didn't have a citrus offering before," Dining Services Marketing Director Christie Welborn said.
The additions to Freshens are a result of a Dining Services survey given last semester as an attempt to better serve the tastes of University students.
Because more salads were the most requested change on the survey, two new grab 'n go salad coolers were added to the Pav to accommodate students who do not have time to wait in line for made-to-order salads. The Dunkin' Donuts venue was completely removed, because sales were down.
"We make all of our own donuts and pastries now," Welborn said.
