This Czech good for another year

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dominik Hasek, who announced in July that he would retire after the NHL season, changed his mind yesterday and will play for at least one more year.

The 35-year-old Czech Republic native is 2-0-2 since returning from a groin injury that caused him to miss 40 games this season.

Hasek opted not to play in the All-Star Game Feb. 6. He was the top vote-getter among goaltenders on the World All-Star squad even though he had played in only nine games.
