No bones about it: 'Monkeybone' fails

What do you get when you cross Tim Burton with the Farrelly Brothers and then aim it at kids? A very peculiar movie experience, that's for sure.

"Monkeybone," directed by Henry Selick of "A Nightmare Before Christmas" fame, attempts, yet generally fails, to successfully combine black and low-brow comedy into a world of eye candy. However, to the film's credit, its efforts in creativity and innovation should be duly noted.
