The No. 12 Virginia women's swimming team posted victories in four of the 13 events at the Rice Invitational in Houston on Saturday. The Cavaliers were led by the performance of junior first team All-American Mirjana Bosevska who won the 200 meter individual medley and 100 butterfly.

Bosevska was victorious in the 200 IM with a time of 2 minutes, 4.48 seconds. She took first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:04.29.

Senior All-American Megan Roesch won the 200 freestyle for Virginia with a time of 1:53.65. Freshman Andrea Georoff posted the Cavaliers fourth victory, finishing first in the 100 fly with a time of 57.83.

The Cavaliers also received a strong performance from sophomore All-American Carlie Dykehouse. Dykehouse finished second in the 500 free with a time of 5:01.23. She also finished fifth in the 100 fly with a time of 58.72.

The Virginia women's and men's swimming teams will return to action on Sunday as they host Penn State for a 1 p.m. scheduled meet at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.

Miami stays at the top of new AP poll

With its 18-7 win over Boston College on Saturday, Miami remains at the No. 1 slot in this week's Associated Press college football poll. Nebraska stays at No. 2 in the poll following its 31-21 defeat of Kansas State on Saturday. Oklahoma maintains its hold on the third slot with its 21-point downing of Texas A&M, 31-10. Florida stay at No. 4 after routing South Carolina, 54-17. Texas rounds out the top five after demolishing Kansas, 59-0.

Although the top five remains the same as last week, ACC schools moved around in the rest of the poll.

In this week's poll, Maryland climbed three spots to take the 10th spot after defeating Clemson, 37-20.

Florida State, No. 10 last week, fell 11 spots to No. 21 after losing to N.C. State, 34-28, on Saturday.

Georgia Tech fell out of this week's top 25 after losing to Virginia, 39-38.
