Taking a stand for good writing

THE BEST teacher I ever had was a third year student at the University. His name: Tom Bednar. He already has taken his degree and is in Iowa, but his lessons remain in my mind and in my heart.

Bednar is a man of integrity, honesty and a teacher of the written word. He preached about writing constantly as though it were an act holy unto itself. Back then, it was the prattle of an energetic opinion editor. Now, I am a convert.
