The college band Guster announced on its Web site, www.guster.com, that it will perform an April 13 show at the University.
The show will be closed to the public, but free to University students.
University Programs Council posters advertising the event say it will take place in the Mad Bowl.
Guster, which formed in 1992 at Tufts University, has become widely recognized and associated with groups like Dave Matthews Band for their large student fan base and emphasis on live performances.
Special Collections Library receives rare prints
The University's Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections library received a donation this week of about 900 caricatures of prominent figures in 19th and early 20th century England.
The prints, a gift from University professor emeritus Cecil Lang, ran in "Vanity Fair," a London weekly magazine that began in 1868 and ended in 1914. In each issue, the magazine portrayed a prominent British figure in cartoon form.
Prints given to the University include Queen Victoria, Winston Churchill, Charles Darwin and poet Alfred Lord Tennyson.
