Dawn Cleary Places Fifth at USA Nationals

Virginia Track & Field standout Dawn Cleary posted a 9:59:30 in the steeplechase at the USA National Championship to take fifth place. Cleary became the first ACC athlete to post a steeplechase time under ten minutes in the competition. Kiamesha Otey finished in tenth place in the long jump at Nationals as well. Other Virginia competitors were Carielle Doe in the 400m and Eleise Mitchelle in the shot put.

Both Cleary and Otey receive All-American Honors in the steeplechase and long jump, respectively.
