Coke or Pepsi? Blonde or Brunette? In the following informal survey around Grounds, some preconceived opinions were confirmed, while other favorites were proven entirely wrong.

On the surprising side...

Despite the University football program's recent push to create a "Sea of Orange," blue remains the color of preference. In addition, the college student's obsession with AIM was debunked, bringing e-mail into the limelight. And, for all the have-to-have highlights girls out there -- start saving your money, because brunettes steal the show.

Some things never change...

U.Va. students didn't, however, break all stereotypes. Confirmation has been received that flip-flops remain the shoe of choice, the use of those red plastic solo cups will never go out of style and a week of spring break mayhem beats the month of winter break relaxation.
