ACC honors announced

N.C. State's Herb Sendek was named the ACC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year Tuesday. Sendek led the Wolfpack to an 11-5 conference mark and a regular-season runner-up title.

Wake Forest's Chris Paul surpassed Duke's Luol Deng for the ACC Freshman of the Year award that was announced Monday.

Paul averaged 14.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game this season for the Demon Deacons.

Virginia's J.R. Reynolds joined Paul and Deng on the ACC All-Freshmen team. Rounding out the five freshmen honorees were N.C. State's Engin Atsur and Florida State's Alexander Johnson.

The All-ACC teams were also announced this week, with no Cavaliers on any of the lists. Named to the All-ACC First Team were Carolina's Rashad McCants, N.C. State's Julius Hodge, Florida State's Tim Pickett, Duke's Chris Duhon and Wake Forest's Justin Gray
