Entering the NCAA tournament as the top seed at 141 pounds, Virginia's Scott Moore fell to No. 5 seed Cliff Moore of Iowa in the semifinals of the NCAA championship in St. Louis this weekend. He completed his final season as a collegiate wrestler 51-1, with a third place finish.
Tim Foley began the tournament as the 11th seed but finished eighth in the tournament. The 165-pound wrestler ended his career with an overall record of 114-35, a win total which ranks second all-time at Virginia.
Moore and Foley were both named All-Americans after their performances. The duo are the first Virginia wrestlers to be given the honor since 2000 and the eighth and ninth all-time in the school's history.
