Jensen resigns post as assistant basketball coach

Rod Jensen, hired as a defensive specialist before the 2002-03 season, resigned from his position on the Virginia men's basketball staff. His resignation is effective immediately.

Jensen spent seven years as head coach at Boise State University before leaving to join Gillen's staff. At Boise State he compiled a record of 109-93.

Jensen began his coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of the Redlands, serving as an assistant coach there from 1980 to 1982. He also served as an assistant at Penn State during the 1982-83 season
