Women's tennis team falls to Duke in first round of ACC tournament

No. 54 ranked Virginia women's tennis team was knocked out of the ACC tournament quarterfinals by Duke in a 4-0 match last Friday in Raleigh, N.C. The Blue Devils scored the doubles points with wins over Virginia's Mariko Fritz-Krockow and Kristen James, 8-3, at one and over Dora Bechliwanis and Lauren Bruch. No. 7 Johnson was an easy winner over the Cavaliers' James in singles. Duke's Zawacki won, 6-0, 6-1, against Marta Bechliwanis. Duke's Kristen Cargill secured the match for the Blue Devils with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Stough.
