Men's lacrosse All-American attackman Yevoli may red-shirt this coming season

Attackman Joe Yevoli, a three-year starter at the attack position for Virginia, may red-shirt the 2005 season for medical reasons according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Yevoli, who will be a senior this year, played last season with a stress fracture in his lower back. A decision on his status for 2005 likely won't come until late fall.

Yevoli helped lead Virginia to a national championship during his sophomore season in 2003. He earned second-team All-America honors for his performance during that campaign. Despite being hampered by the injury during 2004, he finished second on the Cavaliers in scoring with 31 points.
