Littlepage tapped to chair tournament committee

Virginia athletic director Craig Littlepage has been selected by the NCAA to serve as the chairman of its selection committee for the Division I men's basketball tournament for the 2005-06 season, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. An official announcement from the NCAA is still pending.

He will be the vice chairman for the upcoming 2005-06 season and has worked on the committee since being appointed in 2002.

Littlepage's previous basketball experience includes head coaching positions at Rutgers and U-Penn, as well as assistant positions at Virginia, Villanova and Yale.
