Virginia tailback Alvin Pearman named co-ACC Specialist of the Week.

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday that Virginia senior tailback Alvin Pearman was named co-ACC Specialist of the Week.

The honor was conferred, for the most part, in recognition of Pearman's performance during Virginia's win over Temple Saturday. During the game, Pearman returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown. This is the longest Cavalier punt return since Tiki Barber returned a punt 74 yards in 1996 against N.C. State.

Pearman broke at least half a dozen tackles on his return, prompting ESPN's SportsCenter to list it among the top 10 plays of the day.
