Extensive 2005 Virginia baseball schedule announced

Head coach Brian O'Connor announced the 2005 Virginia baseball schedule yesterday.

The season will open in February on the road at UNC Wilmington for a three-game non-conference series. The season will continue with seven straight home games, followed by trips to Richmond and a three-game series at Wake Forest. The season will end with two three-game series at home against Miami and Duke, and one away game at James Madison University on May 17.

At the end of the regular season, Virginia will contend in the ACC tournament in Jacksonville, Fla., from May 24-29. Virginia will play a total 56 regular season games, 34 of which will be played at Davenport Field.
