Two party's candidates will vie for College offices tomorrow in the annual college elections on two tickets, that named by the University party, and that named by the Interim Governing Committee.
Candidates for president are Bob McKinley of Avon, N.J., on the University ticket and Downing Tait of Lawrenceville, Virginia on the Victory Ticket. For vice-president, candidates are Roy Kinsey of Castleton, Virginia on the University list and Ted Butterworth of Danville, Virginia on the Victory list. Tim Smith of Charlottesville and Roger Fraley of Cleveland, Virginia are candidates for secretary on the Victory and University tickets, respectively. Archer Blood, from Lynchburg, and Bill Timberlake of Charlottesville are running for Historian respectively on the Victory and University tickets.
McKinley is president of Theta Delta Chi, member of Lambda Pi, German Club, Eli Banana, and Imp. He is also a member of the varsity baseball team, V club, and the N.R.O.T.C. unit.
Tait, the presidential nominee, is the newly elected Sports Editor of COLLEGE TOPICS and is a member of the Raven Society, Glee Club, and is a holder of Intermediate Honors. He is also in the NROTC Battalion staff, as well as miler on the track team.
Kinsey is commanding officer of the Unviersity Volunteer Unit, Lambda Pi, Theta Chi, Scarab, a member of the soccer team, University Judiciary Committee, Student Police, former Dormitory Counselor, and Interfraternity Council.
Butterworth, candidate for vice-president, is Managing Editor of COLLEGE TOPICS, President of the Glee Club, in the Raven Society, Lambda Pi, PK Society. He is a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and is holder of Intermediate Honors. He is also a Biology laboratory instructor.
Fraley is a member of T.I.L.K.A., Skull and Keys, P.K. Dance Society, and A.T.O. He is also a member of the V Club, varsity baseball team, played first year baseball. He is a member of the Glee Club, has been on the Dean's List and received Intermediate Honors.
Smith, nominee for secretary, a present member of the student governing body, is an honor student in history. He is a member of the Delta Sigma Rho Forensic fraternity. Smith is also a recipient of Intermediate Honors, is a member of the Raven Society, was a member of the Glee Club from 1940 to '42, as well as present manager of the debate team.
Timberlake is a member of Skull and Keys, German Dance Society, Zeta Psi. He is pledged to Alpha Kappa Psi and is assistant manager of baseball.
Blood, candidate for historian, is a member of the Senior Cabinet, University Christian Association, Chairman of the First Year Forum, and a member of the Raven Society. He made Intermediate Honors and is a member of Sigma Pi Epsilon fraternity.
