Men's Tennis downs North Carolina as women's team falls to UNC

The No. 3 Virginia men's tennis team won its 20th match of the season Sunday afternoon, with a 5-2 victory over No. 40 North Carolina. The Cavaliers (20-2, 8-0 ACC) are now one win from their first ever undefeated ACC regular season. Virginia took an early lead by sweeping all three doubles contests. The Cavaliers then ensured the match victory by winning the first three singles contest.

The women's tennis team also traveled to Chapel Hill this past weekend, yet emerged with a different result. The Cavaliers fell to the No. 14 Tar Heels 6-1. Virginia (5-12, 1-6 ACC) fell behind early losing two of three doubles matches and was unable to sustain a comeback. A lone bright spot for the Cavaliers was Virginia's Rachel DelPriore and Douglas Wink who upset the No. 6 ranked team of Kendall Cline and Aniela Mojzis at No. 1 doubles.
