Virginia cornerback Vic Hall has been names ACC specialist of the week for his performance in Saturday's 44-14 win over Pittsburgh.
Despite dropping a punt in the second quarter of the game, Hall more than made up for it by returning four punts for a total of 86 yards. He also helped finish off the Panthers late in the game by scoring on a trick play on special teams.
Hall provided the Cavaliers with good field position early in the game, returning punts of 22 and 45 yards. The returns gave way to drives that eventually yielded touchdowns for Virginia, helping them jump out to an early lead.
Hall capped his career day in the fourth when he scored on a fake field goal, providing the Cavaliers with their sixth touchdown of the night.
His 86 punt return yards on four returns place him 10th best in Virginia history for punt return yards in one game.
The Cavaliers travel to Tenessee next to take on the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State (1-4). Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
