WITH THE exception of the Tibetan and Han people (and a few foreign travelers) living in Lhasa, nobody really knows what actually happened on March 14, when the so-called peaceful demonstration turned out to be violent. Released videos and reports have revealed that the violence came from the Tibetan side. Since childhood, Tibet has been embedded in my memory as a peaceful and sacred place, so the recent violence committed by Tibetans was a huge shock to me.
