Women's rowing wins ACC title

The Virginia women's rowing team won its ninth consecutive ACC rowing championship Saturday at Clemson. The Cavaliers were led by senior coxswain Caitlin Mixter, who became the first coxswain to be named to the all-ACC rowing team three times.

Cavalier seniors Kelsie Chaudoin, Katrin Sydlik and Bridget Wandelt and junior Augusta Stratos were also named to the all-ACC team, while Virginia coach Kevin Sauer was honored with his fifth ACC Coach of the Year award. The Cavaliers also set ACC Championship record times in the First Varsity Four and First Varsity Eight events, beating second-place Clemson.

The Cavaliers will take on Yale and Harvard in a three-team meet next weekend before heading to the South/Central Regionals the weekend of May 17.
