Standing up

I read Dan Stalcup’s column (“Craig for a day,” Sept. 24), and though I have never met him I would like to shake his hand. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the changes he would make if he were Athletic Director for a day, especially the part about football tickets.
I am one of the many who after many years of faithfully coming to Virginia games {32 years} lost my seats because I couldn’t write a big enough check. My wife and I sat through some pretty bad football, but we kept coming back year after year even when umbrellas were banned from the stadium, concession prices went through the roof, and ticket prices went up even after terrible seasons of play. Thank you, Stalcup for standing up to the “man.”
