Day at the races

I just wanted to take a moment to extend a huge thank you to the student groups that were present at the Foxfield Races to lend a helping hand throughout the event. Although I know there were a multitude of organizations helping out, I was most directly aided by the ADAPT tent. Being the unprepared first-year student that I was this past weekend, I had no idea what I needed to bring with me to make sure that my experience went as smoothly as possible. Cue ADAPT. Considering all of the forecasts going into the weekend, who would have thought the sun would have come out? I was sorely unprepared for such an occurrence, but thankfully ADAPT was ready. On one of my many passes by their tent I scouted a bottle of sunscreen and was not afraid to help myself. While I was there I also helped myself to a cup of water and a snack bar. The ADAPT tent was the epitome of the one-stop shop of essentials at Foxfield. I realized how thankful I was for their help when I returned home later that evening only to find many of my friends as red as lobsters having been not so prepared for the weather. So thank you ADAPT, and all other student organizations present, for being there for University students and visitors at the Foxfield Races.
