Perriello

Congressman Tom Perriello's stepping-in-cow-pie ad claims "no one will work harder" to bring jobs to the fifth district. The ad again demonstrates his penchant for shading the truth. Perriello claims he's responsible for creating or saving a large number of jobs in the district. However, Jay Warren of WSLS in Roanoke points out in every instance that the jobs the ad refers to correspond to a single vote: Perriello's vote for the stimulus bill.

And what did Perriello's single vote actually deliver? It delivered an economic disaster. The Democrats said the stimulus bill would keep unemployment below eight percent. Instead it delivered a nearly 10 percent unemployment rate. It also delivered nearly a trillion dollars in additional debt. And it delivered a load of pork to fund the Obama-Pelosi-Perriello liberal agenda.

Perriello's "hard work" has caused much more harm than good. Perriello really did "step in it" with his ill-conceived vote for the stimulus bill. It proves we can't afford him continuing to represent us. Perriello's anti-employer policies and reckless spending have to come to an end before real economic growth and job creation can begin. That's why you need to vote for Robert Hurt in November.
