Virginia sets sights on Golden Eagles

London looks to unleash Rocco, passing game against non-conference Southern Mississippi tomorrow at Scott Stadium

After two weeks of travel, the road-weary Virginia football team looks to capitalize on a four-game home-stand which begins this Saturday against Southern Mississippi.

"It is one game at a time, but by human nature, you look at what's behind the next one," coach Mike London said of the four-game stretch. "That was a great crowd for the first home game against William & Mary, so we're hoping and anticipating another crowd like that, because [the] guys want to play well."

Virginia opened its season with two straight wins, but could not capitalize on scoring opportunities as it fell 28-17 last Saturday at Chapel Hill.

"The margin for error when you're playing against a team like that is so thin," London said.
