My sleeping schedule is completely off! I can't fall asleep at night until 4 a.m., but I can't stop sleeping during class. What can I do to get my sleeping schedule back on track and actually stay awake in lectures and discussions?
Thanks,
Sleepy and grumpy
Dear Sleepy,
I find it highly admirable you're still trying to stay awake during class a month into the semester. Struggling to maintain consciousness against the low hum of a professor's drone is truly a character-building task. Don't worry, next semester you'll be older and wiser and finally remember only a night owl (or raven!) with a death wish enrolls in anything before noon.
Drink that coffee,
Edgar
Dear Edgar,
I absolutely hate the dining hall food. How many days can I eat Newcomb's pizza for lunch and O-Hill's stir fry for dinner? I'm a first year and don't really have a way to easily get to the grocery store. The Corner seems miles away. Plus, my parents would be furious if they found out I wasn't using all my meal swipes. I'm already out of Plus Dollars. Is that normal? I mean, it's not even Spring Break. Anyway, I need to find a way to eat this "food" for the rest of the semester. Suggestions?
Thanks,
Hungry
Dear Hungry,
I am sorry to say there is nothing I can do. Just start counting down the days until you live so far from Grounds that the dining hall becomes a distant memory. Revel in the knowledge that boring cafeteria food keeps appetites low and the Freshman Fifteen away. Then experience a familiar sense of sadness when you realize the Castle takes debit and you're only a short walk away from the most delicious 2000-calorie burger you've tasted in months.
Only 77 days to go,
Edgar
