As the first month of school comes to an end, the managing board recounts some notable numbers

3: The University’s rank on U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of public universities.

2: The University’s rank on U.S. News’ ranking of public universities in 2014.

19: The percentage increase in new future support to the University over Fiscal Year 2014.

3.6: The percentage by which outright donations and pledges — as opposed to future pledges — decreased over Fiscal Year 2014.

22: The number of sexual assault cases in which the Office of Civil Rights found the University failed to take “prompt and equitable action” between the 2008-09 and 2011-12 school years.

2 million: The number of students currently enrolled in college who would be eligible for a Pell Grant but never applied for aid. Changes to FAFSA may increase the number of students who will apply.

23.8: The percentage of University female undergraduates who reported to experience sexual assault by physical force, threats of physical force or incapacitation according to the Association of American Universities’ campus climate survey.

26: The percentage of University undergraduates who participated in the AAU’s survey.

76.5: The percentage of University students surveyed who said they did nothing in a situation in which they witnessed a drunken person heading for a sexual encounter.

27: The number of advocacy organizations that publicly oppose the Safe Campus Act, according to The Huffington Post.

42: The number of points by which Boise State beat the Cavaliers last weekend.
