Freshman Cullen Little followed in position six against sophomore Ben Korn. Little won his first two games 11-6 and 11-3, but Korn was able to win the third match 11-8. However, Little rallied in the fourth match to secure the 11-6 victory and another win for Virginia.

At position nine, freshman Peter Miller secured a close victory against freshman Joe Kacergis to take Virginia’s lead to 5-0. The first match went to an extra point, though Miller ultimately clinched a 12-10 victory. In the following two matches Miller was able to win more comfortably, 11-6, 11-4.

Freshman Teddy Durfee secured his first win at the college level with a 11-8, 11-6, 11-1 victory in position eight against sophomore Gus Prager.
