Virginia House bills seek constitutional convention
By Grayson Kemper and Elizabeth O’Roark | January 29, 2015Both branches of the Virginia Legislature voted on resolutions on Tuesday calling for a constitutional convention and subsequent amendments to the United States Constitution. The resolutions seek to invoke Constitutional Article V, which states that amendments to the Constitution may be proposed if resolutions for a convention are passed by two-thirds of states.
