A local Charlottesville biotech company created a new blood test that can predict whether or not a patient will have a severe reaction to COVID-19.
The University’s COVID-19 Tracker will continue to be updated, even though the University has phased out its saliva testing program due to a lack of demand, according to University spokesperson Brian Coy.
Masks will no longer be required in classrooms or non-clinical U.Va. Health facilities effective Monday.

There are a total of 104 individuals currently hospitalized for COVID-19 at U.Va. Health.
No faculty or staff member tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend through the University.
There are currently 376 active cases of COVID-19 in the University, 51 of which were reported Tuesday.
