CLARKSON AND STEIN: We learn more by challenging Jefferson's legacy than defending it

Our University can surely afford this small act of generosity to the next generation of productive citizens
Our sanctioning system, well-intended though it may be, is nothing short of draconian
Standardized tests are necessary to hold the public education system accountable to all
A crime show has shifted public interest toward the flaws of the criminal justice system
Female birth control has not advanced to an acceptable point for women
Especially after this election, we have no excuse to hide within the bubbles of our biases.
In addition to Republicans, Democrats and unaligned cynics have reason to be optimistic
The scope of any issue should not be limited to Grounds
Respect for independent individual choice must weigh in the conversation of how we view the ultimate choice
If the federal government wants to ensure a greater degree of safety, it should reverse its stance on encryption
Purposefully hiring more conservative professors is problematic in its own ways
The letter merely questions the idea that his words can always be relied on to generate unity
Will they censor the writings of Aristotle because he, too, was a racist?
However much we may disagree with his actions or beliefs, Jefferson and our University today are inextricable
I am tired of people being offended at every little thing
These monuments serve as a reminder that not too long ago, our institutions celebrated oppression
These voters should not be shamed because they are still contributing to the democratic process
The state of Virginia should avoid including confusing and nontransparent language on future ballot measures
The Honor Committee should do everything in its power to let the sunlight in
