Men’s lacrosse marches past Keydets

Entering Tuesday night, four of the Virginia men’s lacrosse team’s six wins on the season had been decided by one goal. But against Virginia Military Institute, the Cavaliers were finally able to roll, and they rolled big.

Virginia shutout in loss to Georgetown

Virginia (14-8, 3-6 ACC) did indeed get the pitching performance it needed, but the offense could get nothing going as the Hoyas (9-10) won 1-0. It marks the second time the Cavaliers have been shutout this season. Prior to Tuesday, Virginia had not been shutout at home since Feb. 28, 2012 against Liberty.

No. 8 women's lacrosse downs Duke

The No. 8 Virginia women’s lacrosse team ended No. 4 Duke’s undefeated season on Saturday with a 13-10 victory at Klöckner Stadium to clinch a season-best three-game win streak.

Women's swim and dive places program-best fifth at NCAAs

At the conclusion of Saturday’s events, the Virginia women’s swimming and diving team could finally take a collective sigh of relief – it had accomplished its goal of becoming the best team in program history. The Cavaliers earned 229 points at the women’s NCAA championship meet to earn a fifth place finish, besting the program’s previous top finish of seventh in 1988.
