Young, DMR deliver in Arkansas

Six athletes from the men’s Cavalier track and field team competed in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the NCAA Indoor Championships over the weekend. At the end of competition, Virginia found itself in 23rd place – the top finish among ACC schools.

Cavalier runners shatter records in Boston

Select members of the Virginia track and field team competed in Boston, Massachusetts at the John Thomas Terrier Classic over the weekend. Many East Coast schools participated in both field and running events, but the Cavaliers only took part in the latter.


Virginia captain senior Mitchell Frank is one of eight Cavaliers set to compete in the Dallas Challenger. The pro-level event is part of the ATP Challenger Tour, and Virginia's participants will likely be made to play through qualifiers for a spot in the main draw.

With a loss to Miami Wednesday night, Virginia fell to 0-3 on the road against ACC opponents, but the team hopes to bounce back against Georgia Tech at home, where the Cavaliers are 10-1 this season.

Cross Country hosts ACC Championships Friday morning

The Cavaliers will kick off the part of the year with real implications — the post-season — this Friday, with the ACC Championships also to be held at Panorama Farms. There, the Virginia men and women, both ranked No. 13 nationally, will battle with conference foes for ACC supremacy.
