For what has been an incredibly successful program at the Division I level, the University is still seeking its first NCAA Championship in women’s soccer.
After 90 minutes, neither team was able to score as the Rams fought valiantly against the Cavaliers.
The goals just kept coming for Virginia, as it picked up its second straight 5-0 victory, this time over visiting Oregon State.
Both defenses were on their A-game in the first half, but the Cavaliers were able to break open the game against the Tigers in the second half, leading to a 5-0 victory.
The Cavalier defense prevented the Dukes from getting even one shot off and held on for its fourth consecutive shutout.
The Cavaliers scored four unanswered goals in the first 26 minutes of the game as the Knights could not compete with Virginia in a 5-0 rout.

Currently the top team in the ACC, there will be a lot on the line for the Cavaliers in their Thursday night game against Florida State before heading into conference championship games.
The Cavaliers and the Fighting Irish competed for 82 scoreless minutes before Virginia struck first — ultimately winning the ACC matchup 2-1.
