Well, perhaps freely isn't exactly true, but the University area is certainly famous for its unique bar scene and affordable intoxications. The Corner area is home to a unique collection of restaurants and bars, each with its own flavor and specialties.
While the local band the Grove certainly doesn't look like its name, it functions quite the same.
Due to the abolition of Easters, which typically resulted in students either failing spring semester or nursing hangovers for the rest of the year, the University has had to find other ways to celebrate the coming of warmer weather.
