The Honor Committee met to pass four new bylaw changes to improve the multi-sanction system after its first semester of implementation.
PIH’s next event will be a Strides in Solidarity Dec. 2 with fundraising towards the Maternal Center for Excellence.
Currently, the break starts on Nov. 22, giving students a total of three days to celebrate the holiday, not including weekends.
The meeting had 21 out of 29 members, meaning the Committee could vote on matters concerning the constitution or bylaws.
The bylaw change was adjusted to allow for cases to continue over the summer if they can be reasonably conducted and if the continuance of the case is requested by the respective parties.
The three currently announced events feature conversations on topics such as free speech and the history of global conflicts.
The proposed bylaw change would suspend all case proceedings during non-school days.
During the meeting, committee members considered proactive measures to mitigate the discrepancy in international student reports, such as tailored education and outreach initiatives catered to international students and potential policies and guidelines.
Elections were held this month through the University Board of Elections, with results released Oct. 12.
