In the fall of 2003, at the beginning of my second year, I found myself jabbing away at my computer, venting my deepest frustrations with the male sex, dating in college and how someone as cute as me could wind up dumped and (what felt like) eternally single.

When parents play pong

It's 2 a.m. and the guy across from you at the beer pong table is swaying back and forth, talking big game about his skills.

When mediocre becomes the medium

College kids are infamous members of society. We are stuck between our pending adulthood and recent adolescence, wanting our opinions to be heard on one hand, while shying away from the consequences on the other.

Five insights for the romantically confused

There are many difficult aspects to Virginia life: Parking, for one, is miserably minimal, the traffic makes you want to reconsider higher education and lines outside of bars on weekend nights make me want to scream because I am actually allowed to be inside and yet, I'm the one waiting. Another tricky part of being a Wahoo is that moment when you have gone on a few dates or hung out with a person you are romantically interested in and have no idea whether or not you have a boy/girlfriend.

Valentine's Day is easy

I'm going to tell you guys something you should know by now but probably don't pay attention to. When women say they don't want anything for their birthday, Valentine's, Christmas or your anniversary, chances are she is trying to act, or even legitimately be, the cool, laid-back girl she thinks you'd appreciate.

The illness of

It's the middle of October, humid and raining. I have four midterms, a column, LSAT class and meetings.

"Forgive and forget" is just an alliteration

I have seen plenty of relationshipfights in my 21 years of life. Two people get in a fight and hold out on the "I'm sorry" until both have sufficiently complained about one another, as loudly as they can and with as many text messages as necessary (if the two are separated). Personally, I think it's a healthy thing to open up every once in a while. So, when most couples have it out, the guilty party apologizes and the world keeps spinning.

Awake with thoughts of Katrina

During the past two weeks, I have found myself strangely sad. No matter what I am doing, if I am in my apartment, I turn on the TV to CNN or Headline News and try to make sense of the world in which we live.
