My advice to survive finals week

Now approaching my fifth finals season as a third year at the University, the trick for me to survive this time has been to force myself to go out and have fun.

How a change of scenery changed everything

When people ask me what it was like living in Japan, I always respond with gratitude. Not just because of the beautiful culture I was able to experience on the island of Okinawa, but the true connections I made there — especially with myself.

Self-expression through fashion

My style doesn’t have to be accepted or understood by others. I find joy in how I choose to dress and connect with those who share the same love for clothes and creative expression as I do.

 It’s crazy to think how long ago I entered the digital world, and how my Instagram profile has since evolved.

Maturing through social media

I believe social media should be an outlet where individuals can freely express themselves, and for me I feel like I've arrived at a comfortable position to do so.

To me, it doesn’t matter if something doesn’t have an inherent purpose. Stuffed animals are made to sit, look cute and be loved.

Embracing our youth

With all of the responsibility that comes along with life, it’s important to remember our desires that stem from youth and innocence. 

All of the little items I’ve collected bear a unique story of their own, reminding me of all the places I’ve come from. 

What defines home?

My idea of home will only keep evolving as I grow, but it’s important for me to relish in the space I inhabit now.

Where I find solace on Grounds

I find solace in many things, but this is all possible by feeling comfortable enough in my skin to express myself freely and enjoy my surroundings.

From patterned tights and mini skirts to a classic pair of jorts, I’m styling different items every day.
Life is eventful, and especially so for the average college student. However, the chaos of my schedule creates more of an incentive for me to carve out alone time with my journal.

Creating playlists has become a particularly gratifying hobby of mine, as well as collecting vinyl records of my favorite albums from a range of artists. I view both as a form of curating the personal archive of music that I’m currently attuned to.
