Now approaching my fifth finals season as a third year at the University, the trick for me to survive this time has been to force myself to go out and have fun.
When people ask me what it was like living in Japan, I always respond with gratitude. Not just because of the beautiful culture I was able to experience on the island of Okinawa, but the true connections I made there — especially with myself.
My style doesn’t have to be accepted or understood by others. I find joy in how I choose to dress and connect with those who share the same love for clothes and creative expression as I do.
I love using my journal to capture moments that would otherwise be somewhat lost to the confounding principle of memory.
I believe social media should be an outlet where individuals can freely express themselves, and for me I feel like I've arrived at a comfortable position to do so.
With all of the responsibility that comes along with life, it’s important to remember our desires that stem from youth and innocence.
My idea of home will only keep evolving as I grow, but it’s important for me to relish in the space I inhabit now.
Although pressure may always be placed on remaining productive throughout life, it's important to take advantage of free time to rest and create a thoughtful plan geared toward personal needs to be successful.
I find solace in many things, but this is all possible by feeling comfortable enough in my skin to express myself freely and enjoy my surroundings.
