Last Tuesday, Adventure Club, a Canadian electronic dance music duo, stopped at The National in Richmond on its nationwide Superheroes Anonymous tour.
“Life in space is impossible.” These words appear on-screen at the start of “Gravity,” the latest effort from A-list director Alfonso Cuarón (“Children of Men”, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”) This simple sentence sets the tone for the rest of the film, which offers one of the best cinematic thrill rides you’re likely to see this or any year.
Believe it or not, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been around for a decade now. While most bands would have faded into obscurity since then, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs prove that they are more than capable of producing fresh, new music with the release of their new album, Mosquito, last Tuesday.
