Today, the Morgan’s Message Education Program can be found at 59 high schools and 80 colleges, and currently has 245 ambassadors who advocate for student-athlete mental health on their campuses and in their communities.
Since being notified Oct. 13 that Virginia’s training staff would be unable to handle the spirit teams’ return, members have created an open petition, asking Virginia Athletics to implement a pre-approved practice plan.
Despite the newfound pressure of being the Cavaliers’ leader in a global pandemic filled with uncertainty, Armstrong is confident and excited about the highly anticipated season to come.

“I love Instagram,” Woldetensae said. “You’ll notice most players only post pictures of them playing basketball — it’s their life. For me, basketball is only one part of my life.”
