FREE FOOD. Many students equate these two words with class councils. While we take pride in competing with Dining Services for the stomachs of University students, the mission of class councils does not actually revolve around pizza and barbecue.

Cavs drop two straight, fall to Tigers, Jackets over weekend

The gloom of the snowy weather Sunday penetrated the ceiling of the indoor tennis courts at the Boar's Head Inn as the women's tennis team suffered their second loss in as many tries as they fell to the Clemson Tigers, 5-2. Virginia started off the weekend not only confident and prepared, but also with an ITA ranking of 22 -- their highest since 1994.

Virginia dominates weekend on court

The Virginia men's tennis team rebounded from its Feb. 14 loss to University of Minnesota (7-1) to defeat Georgetown University (5-8) and Liberty University (0-4) in the team's dual meet this past Saturday, increasing Virginia's overall record to 8-1. Virginia swept both Georgetown and Liberty with overall team scores of 7-0 in both matches.

Saving a Sinking SEC

The Securities and Exchange Commission is rife with turmoil. Changes in leadership along with other agency reforms must occur in order to restore public confidence in the agency and strengthen the SEC as a regulatory body. The Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 created the SEC in response to the 1929 stock market crash.

Philip Morris by Any Other Name

One of the final legal battles in Philip Morris' quest for a change of its name ended Friday as the suit against the conglomerate was dismissed in a Colorado federal court.
