Semester at Sea docked in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam ? still locally referred to as Saigon ? for our eighth port visit.
One of the biggest surprises for me during Semester at Sea was seeing remnants from World War II in nearly every country visited thus far.
Looking back, middle school was filled with days spent memorizing explorers and their discovered sailing routes.
Singing, dancing and drums greeted Semester at Sea at the wharf as we arrived in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
It?s been nearly two weeks since my voyage began in Nassau, and I cannot believe how distant life at home already feels ? and I haven?t even gotten off the ship yet!
Next Monday, I?ll be off on the adventure of a lifetime. I knew I wanted to do Semester at Sea even before I decided which college to attend.
