From spontaneous protests to carefully coordinated events, a plethora of student and community organizations have worked to make their voices heard through activism this year.
The University of Virginia Special Committee on the Nomination of a President met in an open and closed session Monday to discuss desired qualities of the next University president.
The club will be called Common House and will be located in a sprawling 7,000 square-foot building on West Main Street.
While donors were encouraged to register online, dozens of students, faculty and local community members also participated in walk-in donations in Newcomb Ballroom throughout the day.
The restorations are being made under the direction of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, which owns and operates the property.
