I READ an interesting article a week ago in The Washington Post. It focused on how a fairly ordinary task - riding the bus - had become a dangerous activity for many people around Jerusalem.

Gaffes from the week before Break

FEW THINGS are as difficult to deal with as an unexpected death or a life-threatening injury. These occurrences and their causes are often newsworthy, especially in a small community like that of the University student body. The March 7 story "Student's condition critical after car accident" provoked criticism from one reader, who felt the article reduced the injured student to drunk driver X.

Noteworthy nit-picking

STATISTICS can be difficult for anyone, but they are especially so for a journalist who has to accurately present them to his readers.

Online on-target

SOMETIMES coming up with a topic for this column can be difficult, but this week it was easy, thanks to an e-mail I received Wednesday.

Term crossover causes confusion

SOMETIMES, traditions cause strange things to happen. Last week's issues of The Cavalier Daily provided an example of that, and some explanation is necessary. Monday's issue featured an article describing the staff elections accompanied by a photograph of the new Managing Board.
