No. 4 Virginia finishes off the regular season at home Saturday night when they face No. 11 Louisville at John Paul Jones Arena.
No. 7 Virginia puts its seven-game winning streak on the line Saturday afternoon when it plays Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C.
If the Cavaliers want to be bowl-eligible for the first time since 2011, they must initially go through a tough Louisville squad on the road this Saturday. Virginia (3-6, 2-3 ACC) has to win its final three games for any hope of playing postseason football this winter.
“They’re a team that has got a new sense of energy,” coach Mike London said.
A rivalry game is still a rivalry game no matter what the series history says. When the Virginia Cavaliers take on the Virginia Tech Hokies Friday night, neither team will be worrying about who’s supposed to win.
