A day after defeating Delaware 4-3 in an overtime battle, the Virginia field hockey team fell 2-1 to Duke at University Hall Turf Field.

The No. 9 Virginia field hockey team started its season off strong this weekend, posting victories over Drexel and 7th-ranked Penn State.
