The idea of creating a tip line specifically to report teachers based on the imaginary CRT curriculum in our public schools or to further derail queer representation is not just unhelpful, though — it’s harmful to our progress.
It is not a matter of semantics — it is a matter of being recognized as a citizen in the way in which you identify and the way in which you are treated.
While many states are continuing to provide free meals for students, this should not be considered a zipcode luxury — people deserve food because they are human beings.
Most importantly, however, the adoption of this policy serves as an example of the Participatory Action Research method, which is not only highly effective but also unique.
The point is not a comparison, but compassion for universal human rights, equal treatment and free will.
Children are not only capable of understanding the world, but it is imperative that they do — race, gender and sexuality are not new trends seeping into schools and playgrounds
