The University officially opened the Memorial to Enslaved Laborers April 11, 2020 as part of the Commission’s mission to honor the life, labor and sacrifice of those who were enslaved at the University.
The look-alike contest was the first of its kind at the University, furthering the recent trend of celebrity look-alike contests.
Mendoza Gonzalez also discussed her plan to develop a Student Council app called “U.Va. STAR,” where students will have access to information about all Student Council resources.
Masiakos proposed a collaboration between the Student Council and University Democrats, which would involve collecting food, clothing and other essential items to donate to the victims of Hurricane Helene.
Student self-governance elections, and to a greater extent local politics, are the ideal landscape to inculcate change in voting behavior. 
The intentional selection of each piece in the exhibit dives into how identity interacts with the way in which a person occupies — or is displaced from — a space.
Rehearsals span all disciplines, from choreography to vocals to scene work.
