Security on the Frat Front

I n light of the recent attack on Sigma Alpha Epsilon fra-ternity, the University's Greek students are guarded,perhaps more now than ever before, against outside dangers penetrating the fraternity and sorority environments.

HISTORY SELLS

Finally, the days of collar angst -- pop or not? -- may be behind us. An alternative to the polo is sweeping across campuses, thanks to nine budding entrepreneurs at the University of Michigan. Despite their full-time student statuses, these college seniors/business partners found a way to launch a T-shirt company that will celebrate its first anniversary this October.

School's in for SUMMER

This week marks the one-month anniversary of the end of the school year. It's been a full four weeks since the 2005 graduation, and University students are well into their long-awaited summer vacations.It turns out, however, that a school-free summer isn't always the vacation some students anticipated it to be.

Center of Attention

Last October, some particularly prepared University students were making housing plans for the 2005-2006 school year.

Almost Famous

Many University students are aware of their connection to former Virginia students-turned-celebrities, including "Today Show" host Katie Couric, "Save the Last Dance" actor Sean Patrick Thomas and "The O.C." star Benjamin McKenzie.

As spring semester begins, another class of University fourth years return to school in good spirits.

Three Months in France, More American Than Ever

My friends and I studying abroad in Lyon, France this semester are always joking about our "European Transformation." We'd like to think we'll come back to the University with great French accents, the latest Chanel products and a flawless air-kiss greeting.
