University doctor wins NIA grant

Neuroscience Prof. Jeremy Tuttle earned a $1.4 million grant in August from the National Institute of Aging for his research about bladder control drugs and their possible effects on Alzheimer?s disease patients.

University to host international conference in fall

In an effort to improve higher education opportunities throughout the world, the University will invite more than 30 university presidents and vice chancellors from across the world to Charlottesville this fall as a part of the 2008 Charlottesville Consultation.

U.Va. sees record number of '12 applications, accepts more

Following the elimination of its early decision admissions program, the University saw an increase in both the number of applications for admission for the Class of 2012 and the number of acceptance letters issued. Dean of Admissions John Blackburn noted the University received a record 18,758 applications, compared to last year's 18,046.
